The Cowboys offense does not need anything to slow it down any more. With only three days to recover from the Redskins game it looks like the 2nd and 3rd stringers are going to need to step it up. Romo injury is of concern because it may limit his ability to scramble and make plays. Witten's potential absense will hurt but it is time for Bennet to step up.
Nothing will help these issues like a solid running game.
Dallas Cowboys
QB Tony Romo - back (11/22) The quarterback injured his back in the first quarter when he was kneed in the backside while making a tackle. Romo never missed a snap against Washington, but he was limited in practice on Monday. Romo received a pain-relieving shot after the game Sunday, but told reporters he expects to play. Wade Phillips told the media Monday the quarterback was feeling better, but hinted that backup Jon Kitna might have to take some precautionary reps in practice.
TE Jason Witten - foot (11/22) Despite playing the entire game Sunday, Witten didn't practice Monday because of a foot injury. The All-Pro tight end caught two passes on the Cowboys' game-winning touchdown drive in the fourth quarter.
LB Keith Brooking - ankle (11/22) The veteran linebacker was limited in Monday's light practice with an ankle injury he suffered near the end of Sunday's win over the Redskins. Brooking said on Monday he expects to play this week.
CB Mike Jenkins - elbow/head (11/22) Jenkins got "banged up" in the Redskins game, according to head coach Wade Phillips. The cornerback was already battling the elbow injury from the Packers game but suffered the head injury late in the game when making a tackle. He did not practice with the team on Monday in the light workout.
K David Buehler - toe (11/15) The rookie kickoff specialist kicked off Sunday despite the right pinky toe injury. Buehler had just two kickoffs with the Cowboys scoring only one touchdown. He had limited participation in Monday's workout.
OT Marc Colombo - ankle (11/15) Colombo had surgery this week to repair ligaments after suffering a high ankle sprain against the Packers. He also fractured his fibula. There's a chance Colombo could return this season, but he will miss at least several weeks. Doug Free has replaced him in the starting lineup.
S Ken Hamlin - ankle (11/15) Hamlin suffered a high ankle sprain against the Packers and will likely miss another 1-3 weeks. Alan Ball replaced him at free safety Sunday against the Redskins, although Gerald Sensabaugh handled most of the single-safety coverage in the dime defense.
LB DeMarcus Ware - foot (10/21) The Pro Bowl linebacker is playing with a stress fracture in his foot, but amazingly it hasn't seemed to affect him in the last few games. Because of the nature of the injury, he remains on the injury report but Ware is expected to play and start this week.
RB Marion Barber - thumb (10/21) - Barber has played the last several games with a fractured thumb and has had full participation again this week, and was listed as probable. Barber had 99 rushing yards on a season-high 20 carries last week against the Redskins.
S Gerald Sensabaugh - thumb (10/4) Wearing a cast on his surgically-repaired thumb, the starting strong safety has played the last several games without any major problems. He has had full practice participation on Monday.
Injured Reserve:
LB Brandon Williams (torn ACL)
LB Stephen Hodge (knee)
Non-Active PUP:
