It looks like the Beagles are a hurting team. Players are coming back from suspension, on and off the roster moves, injuries and just not playing well. The Cowboys need to make a statement and have the starters on the bench by the end of the 3rd quarter.
Wide receiver Chris Henry made a positive impression on coaches and teammates this week - his first back at practice since completing his four-game NFL suspension - and might be signed to the active roster and play Sunday at Dallas.
Henry was granted a one-week roster exemption to practice this week.
The club has until 4 p.m. today to sign Henry to the 53-man roster, which would make him eligible to play against the Cowboys.
Regarding Henry, Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said: "We'll make that determination a little later. Obviously he got the messages. He spent the four weeks away ... working his butt off."
Lewis said he was impressed by Henry's conditioning level this week. Henry took snaps on the scout-team offense against the first-team defense and worked in with the regular offense.
"If we activate him," Lewis said of Henry, "he'll play."
No movement was expected Friday on Henry.
ROSTER MOVE: The Bengals on Friday waived rookie cornerback Simeon Castille and signed linebacker Abdul Hoge from the practice squad to the active roster.
Hoge is a third-year player from Iowa. He was a third-round draft choice by Green Bay in 2006 and played in eight games. He was injured (knee) all of 2007 and signed Sept. 16 to the Bengals' practice squad.
Castille, a rookie free agent from Alabama, played in Games 1-4 with six tackles.
He was relegated to fifth cornerback when the Bengals signed veteran corner Jamar Fletcher last week.
INJURIES: Left tackle Levi Jones did not practice Friday and was listed as probable. He is taking a series of shots on Thursdays to treat knee cartilage damage. He then must rest the next day.
Linebacker Dhani Jones (foot), tailback Chris Perry (hamstring) and defensive tackle Domata Peko (hand) - all three players are starters - are probable. Jones was limited in practice, and Peko and Perry practiced fully.
Besides Palmer, players questionable: tailback Kenny Watson (hamstring) and cornerback Johnathan Joseph (ankle). Watson is not expected to play, though Joseph, who practiced fully, could return after missing two games.
Linebacker Corey Mays (ankle) is doubtful and did not practice.
