It is with great sadness the MyTeamRivals.com announces the passing of Sports Commentator extraordinaire Jim McKay and Steelers great Dwight White. My earliest sports memory other than the Cowboy’s winning their first Super Bowl was the 1972 Olympics when Mark Spitz won seven gold medals. Those memories will always include McKay’s “they're all gone” comments about 11 innocent athletes who just happened to be from the wrong place at the wrong time. The hair still stands up on the back of my neck when I hear it.
Dwight White (AKA Mad Dog) was part of the Pittsburgh Steelers four Super Bowl teams of the 1970’s including two of the best Super Bowls ever versus t
he Cowboys. Again this time was a big part of my youth.
Both were too young. Our condolences to both families.
